GreenUp Sahara Crowdfunding Campaign

June 5 is World Environment Day at the UN. Marc Beckett from Fraunhofer IGB is researching sustainable vegetable cultivation in desert regions, seeking future-oriented possibilities for people living in these environments. You can support his project at: www.startnext.com/greenup-sahara. Fraunhofer IMW is conducting a survey to accompany the crowdfunding campaign. This survey focuses on drivers and barriers that impact donors' motivation for supporting the project. The findings from this research project will make an important contribution to the science-based design of future crowdfunding campaigns.

Unit, Innovation Financing

We take on the neutral role of “interpreter“ between innovators and capital providers. International research and innovation projects with disseminators from the scientific and political communities as well as the finance sector provide a common operational framework. This makes it possible to improve the flow of capital into promising innovation projects and to increase the awareness of financing options, especially in the area of investment readiness and alternative financing instruments.

We work for clients from the science community, the political arena and the finance sector.

Our range of services saves innovators a considerable amount of time and money during their search for the tailor-made regional and non-regional capital providers. A scientifically sound comparison of the market relevant investment criteria represents the reliable basis for our services. We design and participate in events in the field of innovation financing and investment readiness.

We make it possible for capital providers to gain access to promising and scalable innovation projects. It also saves time and money. The range of services offered by the Innovation Financing Unit is completed by participation in interactive event formats, access to the Fraunhofer network and to other (co-)investors.

“A small, 'crazy' idea grew into what is probably biggest project in the history of German fan culture so far. We are extremely grateful and are hoping for long-term and worthwhile follow-on projects for crowdFANding!“
