Leipzig Fraunhofer Center and Technology Foundation Thüringen announce cooperation agreement

On December 14, 2015, Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister of Economy for Thüringen, Dr. Sven Günther, CEO of the Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thüringen (STIFT) and Institute Director Professor Dr. Thorsten Posselt signed a cooperation agreement formalizing closer collaboration between the parties, especially in the area of innovation financing. In future, it is agreed that the Leipzig Fraunhofer Center will provide its support to the Thüringen Foundation in advancing innovative start-ups in the Free State. The Fraunhofer economists will undertake the scientific supervision of event formats such as the planned Investor Day on the 14th and 15th of June, 2016, as well as the development of precisely tailored coaching offerings. The Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thüringen was founded in 1993 with the aim to advance knowledge-based regional potential in the Free State and thus contribute to economic development. Funding for the organization is provided by the Free State of Thüringen.
