Symposium and informational session about new name of Fraunhofer Center Leipzig

Symposium on "International management and knowledge economy" and informational session about new name of Fraunhofer Center Leipzig, 2.7.2015, 1–4 .30 PM

Internationalization, knowledge economy and corporate development – key terms that represent the extended range of international and economic services at our Fraunhofer Center in Leipzig. With its renaming as the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy, the expansion of the area of expertise of the former Fraunhofer Center for Central and Eastern Europe is now also reflected in its name.

Within the context of the first Fraunhofer “International Management and the Knowledge Economy” Symposium 2015, we would like to present the projects that are currently at the development and research stage. We research corporate development, processes of knowledge and technology transfer and questions of sustainability and infrastructure economics. We develop decision-relevant information, strategies, policy instruments and politico-economic courses of action and knowledge domains for private and public sector decision-makers. We advise private and public sector clients on making use of the opportunities presented by the global knowledge economy, and handling socio-economic challenges constructively through our practical, easy-to-use solutions.

From this point forward the symposium will take place every two years, opening the current state of scholarly debate in the research fields of international management and the knowledge economy up for discussion, and comparing this with the findings of applied research.

You are cordially invited to our information event followed by the symposium:

  • on Thursday, July 2nd, 2015
  • 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Veranstaltungszentrum der Leipziger Foren (Leipziger Foren Event Centre) in the former Hôtel de Pologne | Hainstraße 16, 04109 Leipzig
