IHK Service Promotion Initiative: Five companies start the project phase

The participants of the "IHK-Förderinitiative Dienstleistung" (IHK Service Promotion Initiative), which is endowed with a total of 50,000 euros in consulting services, have been selected. In the first half of 2019, these companies will develop new or modified services along their value chains together with a team of experts from the Price and Service Management Unit at the Leipzig Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW, headed by Dr. Marija Radić.

“With this funding initiative, we want to make a practical and cross-sectoral contribution to the urgently needed growth of our regional companies,” says Kristian Kirpal, President of the Leipzig Chamber of Commerce, about the goal of the initiative. “With their plans for growth, the participating companies set an example for an entire industry. In the active project phase which is now beginning, we will provide an example of how growth potential can be analyzed and systematically developed. We congratulate the winners and thank all applicants for their interest.”

The participating businesses were selected from approximately 100 interested regional companies by a panel of experts, which included (among other personalities) Professor Posselt, head of the Fraunhofer IMW institute.
