Melanie Vielstich has been working as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW in Leipzig since October 2018 in the Professional Development and Competence Management Unit. Since August 2018, Ms. Vielstich has also worked in the digital project group Data Mining and Value Creation. Her academic education includes a degree in health management (B.Sc.) and a master’s in health sciences (M.Sc.) at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau. She completed her studies with honors in the field of health services research on »hand hygiene compliance for the prevention of nosocomial infections«. Ms. Vielstich gained project experience during her studies at the Institute for Hygiene, Hospital Hygiene and Environmental Medicine of the University of Leipzig Medical Center. Here she worked on a study focusing on health services research. At Fraunhofer IMW, Ms. Vielstich is involved in project initiatives for innovative competence management (in favor of preventive occupational health and safety) as well as didactic concepts and organizational structures for inclusive schools.
