Project description
"TimberPlan+" is an application-oriented project dedicated to the construction of material-efficient roof constructions made of wood, and based on the ReFlexRoof system for agricultural facilities. The overall goal of the project is the development of a digitally-based planning methodology for agricultural buildings, which integrates all necessary forms of technical planning, links information and explicitly focuses on fully or partially automated, numericallz-controlled manufacturing and pre-assembly processes in regionally active SMEs of timber construction. The comprehensive processing and assembly competences provided by the carpentry and roofing trade are to be further developed in the context of digital methods. The project results describe the basics for establishing a marketable, integrated planning, construction and distribution system for material-saving roofs made of wood for agricultural buildings. Within this project a variable group of quality-certified companies work cooperatively. TimberPlan+ will also contribute to improving regional competitiveness and creating and safeguarding jobs, especially in rural areas.
