Experience
Dr. Daniel Strecker has been working at Fraunhofer IMW in Leipzig as a research fellow in the unit “Business Models: Engineering and Innovation” since December 2020. Previously, he studied economics at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau and was subsequently a research fellow at the Chair of Economic Policy of Prof. Dr. Norbert Eickhof at the University of Potsdam. In addition to his teaching activities, he received his doctorate on the topic of “Forschungs- und Technologiepolitik im europäischen Integrationsprozess”.
Before working at Fraunhofer IMW, Daniel Strecker was project manager for an international consulting firm in Frankfurt am Main and Bern (Switzerland) since 1999, focusing on utilities, waste management and public-private partnerships (PPP).
From 2007 on, Daniel Strecker was employed in various companies in the solar and packaging industry in commercial management positions.
His current work at the Fraunhofer IMW focuses on sustainability concepts for companies, structural change, business models and innovation.
