Experience
Desireé Jörke has been working as a research fellow in the unit Professional Development and Competence Management since December 2019. She studied educational science and psychology at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). After finishing her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Education of the MLU. From 2015 to 2019, she was granted a PhD scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation and completed her doctorate on the subject of "Dual careers of girls and women in competitive sports". Desirée Jörke gained project experience as a research assistant and later as an associate staff member in a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on Exclusive educational careers of young people and the significance of peer cultures at the Center for School and Educational Research in Halle (Saale).
