Professional development
Dr. Iciar Dominguez Lacasa joined the Fraunhofer IMW in the capacity of research fellow in June 2017. Previously, she has worked with the University of Bremen, the Halle Institute for Economic Research and the Fraunhofer Institute for System and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe. Dr. Dominguez Lacasa studied macroeconomics at the University of Complutense in Madrid and completed her doctorate at the University of Karlsruhe. She has accrued extensive project experience in the field of empirical innovation research. The thematic focal points of her research include the analysis of technological change in knowledge intensive sectors, the effectiveness of innovation policy instruments, the development of technology and innovation indicators and the analysis of technological activities in catch-up regions and emerging markets. Since March 2018, she has been a professor for economics at Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau.
