Experience
Max Mittenzwei has been working as a research fellow in the “Innovation Policy and Transfer Design” unit at Fraunhofer IMW since December 2021. Previously, he worked at the University of Greifswald, where he studied geography as well as tourism and regional development. He is currently completing his PhD in economic geography on the topic of innovations in the bioeconomy. Using data mining (computer-assisted methods to find patterns, trends or correlations in existing datasets) and network analysis, he maps the European bioeconomy and its actors and also qualitatively examines value chains to identify concrete innovation drivers and barriers.
