Professional Experience
Claudia Domel has been working as a research fellow at the Fraunhofer Centre for International Management and Knowledge Economy since March 2007. In a strategic partnership with the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Foundation for the Environment – DBU), as the DBU Special Representative for Central and Eastern Europe since 2009, she has been supervising its international sponsorship activities with a focus on innovative, exemplary environmental projects. From 2001 to 2007, Claudia Domel was Project Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at the International Transfer Centre for Environmental Technology (ITUT), Leipzig, in the field of waste management. Claudia Domel studied in Leipzig, Granada and Moscow, gaining a degree in Translation Studies for Spanish and Russian with a technical qualification in conservation and environmental protection as well as civil engineering.
