In order to exploit the full potential of digitization, it is important for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to consider integrating eStandards. Today, mid-sized enterprises across all industries and business sectors face the challenge of making their technologies and systems compatible with digital networking or completely new business models. Here, standards play an important role. For this reason, the Mittelstand 4.0 eStandards Competence Center was created as part of the Mittelstand-Digital funding initiative.
Through open workshops in various locations, the Competence Center offers free information, training, and networking services, as well as testing and observation opportunities for all aspects of digital transformation. The Open Workshop Leipzig, which is located at the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW, focuses on the introduction of standards for the digital transformation of business models.
