Experience

Urban Kaiser has served as Head of the “Innovation Acceptance“ Unit at Fraunhofer IMW (from January 1, 2025, part of Fraunhofer ISI) since 2019. His research activities involve the interdependencies of technical and social developments in an international context. His focus is on encouraging acceptance of innovative solutions in the field of sustainable urban development. Before joining the Fraunhofer IMW team in 2008, he worked for a market research company in Germany for three years, developing substantial expertise in the field of qualitative and quantitative methods of social science research. Urban studied political science and economics in Mainz and Riga (Latvia).
