Experience
Dr. Warathida Chaipaya is an assistant director at Chiang Mai University School of Public Policy (CMU-SPP). She has been working on climate action covering a wide range of issues such as mitigation efforts off oil and gas companies, energy policy planning processes, demand response in electricity industry and consumer behavior regarding low-carbon energy.
Dr. Warathida Chaipaya was awarded the Green Talent Award 2020 for her research in which she aims to conduct an interdisciplinary approach to address energy poverty while promoting energy efficiency for low-income households in Thailand. Projects she is currently working on include a comparative study on climate change policy of Thailand’s political parties, walking through different shades of climate security in Thailand, and climate heritage management.
