Professional Development
Manuel Molina Vogelsang has been deputy head of the "Innovative Regions" unit at Fraunhofer IMW (from January 1, 2025, part of Fraunhofer ISI) since January 2024. Mr. Molina Vogelsang joined Fraunhofer IMW in 2014 as special assistant to the institute director and has worked as a research fellow in the "Innovation Policy and Transfer Design" unit since 2016. Since July 2023, he has been a research fellow in the "Innovative Regions" unit. Mr. Molina Vogelsang studied Regional Studies Latin America with a focus on Economics at the University of Cologne. Previously, he worked at the Lateinamerika Verein e. V. in Hamburg as Regional Manager for Mercosur and Colombia and in the Department for International Business Development at the Fraunhofer headquarters. His areas of expertise include the analysis of national and regional innovation systems as well as international innovation processes. Since 2015, he has been a lecturer for the Chair of Innovation Management and Innovation Economics at the University of Leipzig.
