Professional development
Annamaria Riemer completed a Master of European Studies at the University of Leipzig and has since accrued many years' experience in the analysis of knowledge transfer processes between science and practice. Since 2007, she has worked as a research fellow at the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW where she has been involved in several collaborative projects in the fields of knowledge and technology transfer and foresight (at both national and EU-levels). Currently, she is leading a work package as part of the joint project AGENT-3D (supported by the BMBF Zwanzig20 program) in which an interdisciplinary team consisting of social, legal and engineering scientists and scholars is working to develop exploratory future scenarios for the use of additive-generative processes in industrial production. Ms. Riemer is Non-resident Fellow of Knowledge and Technology Transfer Division at Fraunhofer IMW. Prior to that, she was deputy head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Division, and also heads of the Futures and Innovations Unit.
