Fraunhofer IMW hydrogen experts at the 3rd Central German Hydrogen Congress

On August 30, 2023, the European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany and the hydrogen network HYPOS Hydrogen Power Storage & Solutions e. V. jointly invited participants to the Central German Hydrogen Congress in Freyburg/Unstrut. More than 30 speakers presented regional projects and discussed current topics in the industry with around 250 participants in five sessions.

The European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany and the HYPOS hydrogen network jointly invited participants to their yearly Central German Hydrogen Congress.

Christian Klöppelt (research fellow Center for Economics of Materials), Sarah Neuschl (deputy Head of Unit Data and Platform based Value Creation) and Victoria Kubenz (research fellow Data and Platform based Value Creation) represented the Fraunhofer IMW at the Fraunhofer joint booth and presented current research projects on hydrogen economy to the visitors.

The hydrogen research coordinator of Fraunhofer IMW, Dr. Daniela Pufky-Heinrich took the lead in hosting the matchmaking format, in which the exhibitors presented their portfolio to the audience. She moderated the presentation of the newly established LHyVE project and talked to the initiators and new partners of the project.

Matthias Jahn from Fraunhofer IKTS participated on behalf of the Fraunhofer institutes in Session IV "Is Hydrogen an Option for SMEs?" and presented decentralized solutions in practical testing, including the project "Hydrogen Perspectives for Leipzig - Potential Assessment and Business Model Options" accompanied by Fraunhofer IMW.
